Ruth Brophy, Make Up Artist

Ruth graduated from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dublin, ‘Make up for Film, TV and Special Effects which covered all aspects of working in film and television including prosthetics, wounds, body painting and tattoo work. 

She moved to London to study at the University of the Arts, London College of Fashion completing the ‘Fashion and Editorial Make up’ degree course which focuses of fashion and print media.  

Working freelance on editorial shoots, advertising campaigns, fashion week show’s and music videos with top photographers Ruth has published work in magazines from British Vogue to Elle and id Magazine.  

Ruth is a co-editor of Argon Magazine, an online Fashion, Art and Culture magazine released quarterly, Argon magazine is a broad fashion and art magazine with editorial shoots and interviews with top artists and creative’s. 

She continues to work in television and specializes in tattoo and body painting and other current activities include tutoring and lecturing at the London College of Fashion and Central St Martins,University of the Arts.

Ruth was recently Head of Design for fashion photographer Elaine Constantine's first feature film "Northern Soul" which is due for release Spring 2013
